Expedition Schedule for 2023-2024

The following list is our expedition schedule for the upcoming VA Adaptive Sports grant. If awarded, this grant will allow for a total 40 veterans, separated into 8 groups, to be entered into the program. There will be one group per expedition so there will be a total of 8 expeditions over the course of a year. Each of the expeditions listed below will show:

1. The general area from where the veterans will be recruited.
2. The total number of veterans that will be entered into the program
3. The location of the expedition.
4. The date that training will begin.
5. The date the group will depart for the expedition.

The schedule is dependent on the time of year of each trip and training begins 3 months prior to each trip.  Again, this schedule is dependent on the grant being awarded. There are a total of eight trips scheduled for this program and are as follows:

1. Zion Group
   • Focus Area – Shreveport (LA-004)

2. Death Valley Group

3. Everglades Group
   • Focus Area – Louisiana (Statewide)

   • Expedition Date – January 8, 2024
4. Smoky Mountains Group
   • Focus Area – Lafayette (LA-003)
   • # of Veterans – 5

5. Olympic Group
